"We love your yurts. We were
so comfortable-love the clean bathroom and beautifully decorated
yurts. Especially loved the hot tub and the flannel sheets.
Thanks so much."
Betty and Bo, Tiger, GA
"Modern yurts are to tents what the
Ritz-Carlton is to Motel 6."
"Yurt amenities, including plump, canopied queen-size beds and Pottery
Barn style tables and lamps, are for people who like the idea of camping,
but not necessarily the reality...A refrigerator, coffee maker, ceiling
fan, space heater, chest of drawers - and don't forget the basket of fresh
towels in the corner."
Atlanta Journal-Constitution
"Even cabin fever can't take away from
the resplendence of the surrounding landscape. My yurt overlooks
the vast Nantahala Gorge; mist rises from the placid waters of Fontana
Lake at the bottom. Hemlock branches envelop the picnic areas like
the arms of evergreen mothers. A frisky waterfall splashes down
the side of the gorge through clumps of hardwoods sure to be dressed in
multihued muumuus when dresses this mountain idyll."
The Miami Herald
"My husband and I stayed in
the Country yurt this weekend and loved it! The yurt and the bathrooms
are immaculate. The hot tub is wonderful and just what we needed
after along week and the drive up. We can't wait for you to open
next year so we can come back. Thank you!"
Christina, Duluth, GA
"We are tent campers (we even backpack
fairly often), and really enjoy the outdoors, but a soft bed, a ceiling
fan, a refrigerator and a hot tub made this "outdoor" stay quite
special! Everything was wonderful, and we enjoyed the unique aspect
of being able to feel like we were out in the woods without having to
rough it.
Thanks again, for a refreshing idea!

"Paddler"
November/December 1998
They are decked out like bed and breakfast-style rooms, with tongue and
groove pine floors, wrap-around decks, French doors and skylights....Since
Wildwater Ltd., one of 12 rafting outfitters on the Nantahala, operates
Falling Waters, the resort is tailor made for paddlers...... Where else
can you choose from such a selection of paddling opportunities, and then
retire Mongol-style to the comfort of your own yurt?

The Yurt Phenomenon by Stephanie Boozer
"I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I pulled up late on a chilly
autumn afternoon. I was fully prepared to rough it and freeze in my sleeping
bag at night or huddle around a campfire- all the standard camping stuff.
Pulling up to the village opened my eyes, yurts are cute little things.
And what a shock when I crossed the threshold. I expected some basic furniture
and camping equipment but instead I found hardwood floors, and Oriental
rug, a four poster bed, armoire, futon, mini-fridge and most importantly,
a coffeemaker. What a shock. Yurts are for civilized people after all.....
The morning views were breathtaking, overlooking a lake and mountains
fading into the distance."
